In the
News
Chester County Veterans at the Coatesville facility are no
longer banned from registering to vote. This is the result of
organizations such as the League of Women Voters lobbying against a
Department of Veterans Affairs ruling in May of this year.
Please read the article in the New York Times for more
information.
League
Storefront Display at Exton Mall

When you're in the Exton Mall, be sure
to check out a storefront donated to our Chester County League (it's
near the food court). One of the components of this 15 ft.+ display
is the huge 7.5 ft. x 9.5 ft. poster which (l to r) President Susan
Fields and Vice President Jean Goerth are admiring. It beautifully
answers the question: Why Join the League? when it says:
"The nonpartisan
Chester County League of Women Voters strives to expand voter
participation & information and to address today's issues
locally, regionally, & nationally....But, we need your help to
grow!"
The printing on the
petals of the flowers at the bottom of the poster is the topics for
some of the key issues the League supports such as Verifiable
Elections, Healthcare, Civil Liberties, Global Warming, the
Environment, Campaign Finance, etc. Other parts of the large display
contain our LWVCC banner reminding all citizens to "Register...and
Vote!" as well as contact information for the League.
The League is very
grateful to and thanks the Management of the Exton Mall for donating
the storefront as well as Local Artist Jeff Stewart for his unique
poster design & artwork.
