THE LATEST NEWS FROM THE LEAGUE

There is more to vote on than the President November 4th!

Want to learn more about the candidate running for office, visit SmartVoter.org! You wil find information about the $400 Million Water and Sewer Improvements Bond Referendum as well as information about the others running for office.

Lines are going to be long at the polls, so try to vote early or mid-day when lines tend to be shorter.

League Meetings
All League meetings are open to the public and the League hopes you will come and see "civil discourse" in action. Only when we are reaching consensus (reaching a position for future lobbying) is the meeting somewhat closed. Only members can speak at a consensus meeting (ex. our January Immigration consensus meetings) but the public is welcome to attend and learn how our 87 year old, time tested process works!

Legislative Directories

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
