Speaker: Tom Garthwait, MD

An overview of health care issues with implications from the patient’s perspective.  Tom is the Chief Medical Officer for Catholic Health East, a group of 33 hospitals on the East Coast, and is a specialist in internal medicine.  Tom also has a background in public health as the former Director and Chief Medical Officer of the Department of Health for Los Angles County, CA, and as the Under Secretary for the Department of Veteran Affairs during the Clinton Administration.
