The website has a very informative Municipality District Guide that helps you find your legislator. Also an interesting link to healthyfrog.org which relates to water quality and wildlife, etc. You can read their Voter Newsletter online, it has a lot of interesting information on Act I, the Earned Income Tax (EIT), and the ballot question, here's a quote from the Chesco 'Voter' that typifies a situation we may be facing in Lower Merion and Narberth if we end up with EIT:
"Downingtown’s proposal is that the Earned Income Tax be increased by 1%. The choices were to convert the Earned Income Tax-EIT to Personal Income Tax-PIT, increase an existing EIT, create a new EIT or a new PIT. The purpose is to utilize the revenue to fund property tax relief for future increased school taxes. An index has been established by the legislation. It is currently 3.4%. The school district may not raise its taxes
or approve any new taxes to exceed the index without referendum. There are, of course, exceptions to the index, such as emergencies, threats, debts, special education, NCLB, actual instructional expense maintenance, court order, tax revenue and state funding maintenance and certain health care costs.

Note: Even if you are registered 'independent', you can vote on this Act 1 of 2006 ballot question that will be
in the May l5, 2007 primary election."
