Local Candidates & Debates For Local Offices in Lower Merion and Narberth

For several years, the League has held individual debates for each township ward where there is a contest, instead of having one township-wide event, which we used to do. We find that local issues are better covered this way, and we are able to enlist the local civic associations as co-sponsors.

In 2007, we will be holding commissioner debates in 4 wards, and 2 more for the school board. The Federation of Civic Associations is also a co-sponsor, giving these events a truly non-partisan spirit. Our last series, for the even-numbered commissioners, drew good audiences of up to 100 people.
