Hot Topics Luncheon: Signifcant Influences on the 2016 Election and Beyond [Central Delaware County]

  • Media Borough Hall 301 N. Jackson Street Media, PA (map)

Our first Hot Topics Luncheon for the fall will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 at Media Borough Hall's Community Room starting at noon.

Our special guest for the luncheon is Robert Walker, the US Secret Service Resident Agent in Charge of the Delaware Field Office, Wilmington, DE.

Robert's talk is entitled "Significant influences on the 2016 election and beyond". His talk is based on his 2019 master's thesis from the US Naval Post Graduate School, Center for Homeland Security and Defense. A Secret Service Agent for more than 20 years, Robert will be sharing his work with the League as a non-partisan act of public service. This will be an excellent chance to clarify what we think we know about election meddling and the security of future elections.

You can make a reservation for the Luncheon by calling Hank Thorne at (610) 566-5474 or by e-mail at hthorne@verizon.net. Or you can mail your reservation to LWV-CDC, PO Box 131, Wallingford, PA, 19086.

The cost for the luncheon is $20.00 per person. You may pay at the door; however, we ask that you please make a reservation and let us know if you need to cancel. The Community Room is located at 301 N. Jackson Street in Media and you can enter the parking lot by turning on Fourth Street. We look forward to seeing you on Friday, September 13, 2019.
