“It's Time for Pennsylvania to Make Voting Easier” (Op-Ed)
“If we want to honor Pennsylvania’s role in the American experiment, we must build systems that empower every voter…”

Why it Matters…
Too many elections in Pennsylvania still rely on outdated, inconvenient models: weekday-only voting, limited polling places, and inconsistent or confusing rules about mail-in voting and ballot curing. In the May 2025 primary election, voter turnout in many Pennsylvania communities was alarmingly low. In some municipalities, fewer than 1 in 10 registered voters cast a ballot. We are asking too much of voters to perform a basic civic duty.
What We Advocate For…
- Simplifying mail-in voting procedures, including eliminating unnecessary requirements like immaterial handwritten dates that can disqualify ballots.
- Expanding secure drop boxes and ensuring equitable access across all counties.
- Standardizing "notice and cure" policies statewide so voters have a fair chance to fix small errors on their mail-in ballots.
- Investing in consistent and proactive voter education, not just during presidential elections.
