Join community members from across western PA to kick off an exciting new project!
The League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania, in partnership with Reimagine groups in Butler, Beaver, Fayette, Cambria and Blair counties, the Turtle Creek Watershed and Airshed Communities, the Indiana County Sustainable Economic Development Task Force, and Concerned Ohio River Residents' A Better Vision, is beginning a new project aimed at driving forward sustainable development projects in our region and generating more collaboration between communities. The League has retained the services of Downstream Strategies to produce a series of mini-reports covering the pathways, weigh stations, and potential hurdles of sustainable development projects. Topics covered will include things like locating and writing planning grants, creating project plans, conducting community surveys, creating phased planning documents, financing strategies, writing a business plan, addressing planning and zoning requirements, getting permits, and more. Downstream Strategies will be hosting a quarterly workshop to go over its reports and introduce community members to a diverse group of experts on different aspects of sustainable development.
Join us (virtually) on Wednesday February 9th from 6:30-7:30PM
Join us for a short kick-off meeting to learn more about the project and get a preview of the work that will be covered over the coming year. Members of the Downstream Strategies team will take questions about the project and sustainable development.
