Key 2026 Election Dates

Primary Election:

May 4, 2026: Last day to REGISTER TO VOTE in the Primary Election

May 12, 2026: Last day to apply for a mail-in or civilian absentee ballot (ALL registered voters in Pennsylvania can apply for a mail-in ballot)

May 19, 2026, is the PRIMARY ELECTION DAY - polls are open from 7 A.M. to 8 P.M.

General Election:

Oct. 19, 2026: Last day to REGISTER TO VOTE in the Municipal Election

Oct. 27, 2026: Last day to apply for a mail-in or civilian absentee ballot for the Municipal Election (ALL registered voters in Pennsylvania can apply for a mail-in ballot)

November 3, 2026 is the GENERAL ELECTION DAY - polls are open from 7 A.M. to 8 P.M.

November 3, 2026: Last day for County Boards of Elections to receive voted mail-in and civilian absentee ballots (must be received by 8:00 P.M. on election day - postmarks are not enough. )

Deadlines for returning your mail-in or civilian absentee ballot:

By mail: must be received by 8 P.M. on November 3, 2026.

In-person: must be returned to your county board of elections office or other designated location or drop box by 8 P.M. on November 3, 2026.
