LWVUS: “Nationalizing Elections is a Direct Threat to the Very Fiber of Democracy”
The League of Women Voters has issued a statement in response to President Trump’s call to “nationalize” elections.
According to the League, “President Trump’s continued rhetoric is a calculated effort to dismantle the integrity of the electoral system as we know it. This is not political theater: it’s a direct threat to the very fiber of democracy itself.”
“By demanding federal intervention in state and local elections, the Trump administration is working overtime to create intimidation, chaos, and confusion. This is exactly how we lose our country: erode trust, normalize lies, and intimidate voters and election officials.”
