What the SAVE Act Means as the 2026 Midterms Approach

Although the Senate previously failed to advance the SAVE Act, the League of Women Voters cautioned in a recent statement that the Act could come up again for vote again in the Senate in September. If passed, the SAVE Act could change how voters register and cast ballots, with little time for voters and election administrators to adjust.
