Washington, PA Candidate Forum Led by High School Students

The students of Washington High School in collaboration with the League of Women Voters of Washington County is hosting the Washington School District Board Candidates Forum on Wednesday, October 22, 6 pm at the Washington Junior Senior High School.

The public is invited to join members of the school's Student Life Group as they moderate the forum and question potential school board candidates on district issues. The event is part of a new program launched this fall by the League of Women Voters of Washington County. League volunteers working with faculty advisors mentored students to plan and host the forum.

The program is a way of highlighting the importance of school boards and the impact of their decisions, while educating and involving students in local government. A reception will follow afterward.

Open to the public and only available in-person. No RSVP required.
