The students of Canon-McMillan High School in collaboration with the League of Women Voters of Washington County is hosting a School Board Candidates Forum Thursday, October 30, 6 pm at  Canon-McMillan High School auditorium, Elm Street extension, Canonsburg. The public is invited to join members of the  school's Lead CM and Debate Club as they moderate the forum and question potential Canon-McMillan school board candidates on district issues.

The event is part of a new program launched this fall by the League of Women Voters of Washington County. League volunteers working with faculty advisors mentor students to plan and host the forums. The program highlights the importance of school boards and the impact of their decisions, while educating and involving students in local government.
