Happy Election Day!

Happy Election Day!  The polls are open today from 7 AM to 8 PM.  If you haven’t made your voting plan, check out the information below to make sure your vote is counted!

Voting in person?

  • Polling locations are open from 7 AM to 8 PM on Election Day. If you are voting in person, make sure you know where your polling place is. Find your polling place here.

  • Remember, if this is the first time you’re voting at your polling location, you’ll need to show ID. Click here to see the permitted forms of identification.

Voting by mail, and have received your ballot?

  • You must sign and write the date on the declaration envelope for your ballot to be counted. If you’ve already returned your ballot and you forgot to do so, please contact your County Board of Elections as soon as possible.

  • Your ballot must be received by 8 PM  on November 7 to be counted. Ballots postmarked by that date but not received by the county board of elections do not count.

  • If you have not yet mailed your ballot, you should hand-deliver it to your county board of elections today. You can also submit your mail ballot to a county-designated drop box or satellite office.

  • You also have the option to surrender your mail ballot and vote in person. Bring your ballot and the pre-addressed outer return envelope to your polling place to be voided. After you surrender your ballot and envelope and sign a declaration, you can then vote a regular ballot.

Voting by mail, but have NOT received your ballot?

  • Voters who requested a mail ballot and did not receive it or do not have it to surrender may vote by provisional ballot at their polling place.

If you have an emergency and missed the deadline to apply for a mail-in or absentee ballot:

Today is the day to make your voice heard! Thanks for making democracy work for everyone.
